Glassia is a concentrated preparation of Alpha-1 proteinase inhibitor, which is an important factor in protecting the lungs from degradation.
Patients with congenital deficiency of Alpha-1 proteinase inhibitor and clinical manifestation of emphysema.
Glassia is contraindicated in individuals with selective IgA deficiency.
Glassia is typically administered as a weekly infusion that lasts 60-80 minutes. The duration of treatment is determined by the pulmonologist but can range up to 10 weeks.
