Getting to Know Peta

Nov 5, 2025 | Blog

When patients come to Thrivewell for infusions, they see our clinical team providing compassionate care at the chairside. But behind the scenes, another kind of care is happening; it is a type of care that ensures every treatment is possible, approved, and accessible. At the heart of that process is Peta-Gaye Brown; she oversees the Patient Access Department for Pharmaceutical Copay and Free Drug.

Peta-Gaye Brown leads this effort with a blend of expertise and compassion, making sure therapies are approved, accessible, and stress-free. Her work transforms complex insurance processes into a clear path of support—so patients can focus on healing, not paperwork.

With years of experience navigating the complexities of insurance approvals, specialty medications, and reimbursement, Peta has built a department into a clear, patient-friendly path. She and her team are the quiet advocates who coordinate with providers, handle prior authorizations, and work through benefit challenges so that patients can focus on their health, not their paperwork.

“Access to therapy shouldn’t be another barrier for people already facing health challenges,” Peta explains. “My goal is to make sure every patient feels supported and cared for from start to finish.”

Her leadership has transformed Thrivewell’s approach to patient access. “We’ve worked hard to streamline authorizations and build relationships with payers,” she says. “That means treatments can begin faster, financial guidance is clearer, and patients know someone is in their corner.”

Peta is also passionate about education. “I love teaching our team and our providers about the ever-changing insurance landscape,” she shares. “When everyone understands the process, we can prevent delays before they even happen.”

What drives her? “I think about my own family,” Peta reflects. “If someone I love were sitting in that infusion chair, I’d want the process to be seamless and stress-free. That’s what motivates me every day.”

Under her guidance, Thrivewell has strengthened its partnerships with payers, streamlined prior authorization processes, and created smoother communication between patients, clinicians, and providers. These changes mean treatments start sooner, financial guidance is clearer, and patients have the reassurance that someone is fighting for them at every step.

Peta’s dedication reflects the very heart of Thrivewell’s mission: to provide compassionate, patient-centered care at every level. Her work reminds us that true healthcare is about more than medicine. It’s about making sure people never feel alone in the process.
