Every June, we recognize Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Awareness Month, a time dedicated to increasing understanding of this rare neuromuscular disease and supporting the individuals and families affected by it.

Myasthenia Gravis is a chronic autoimmune condition that causes weakness in the voluntary muscles of the body. This occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks the communication between nerves and muscles, making it difficult for muscles to respond properly to nerve signals. Symptoms can vary from person to person but may include drooping eyelids, blurred or double vision, difficulty speaking or swallowing, fatigue, and weakness in the arms, legs, or facial muscles.

While living with Myasthenia Gravis can present daily challenges, advances in treatment have created new opportunities for patients to better manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life. At Thrivewell Infusion, we are proud to provide access to several innovative therapies designed to help patients living with MG, including:

  • Vyvgart® (efgartigimod)
  • Ultomiris® (ravulizumab-cwvz)
  • Rystiggo® (rozanolixizumab-noli)

These therapies target different aspects of the immune system and have helped many patients experience meaningful improvements in muscle strength and daily functioning. Treatment plans are individualized, and our team works closely with patients and providers to ensure they receive the therapy that best fits their needs.

We understand that managing a chronic condition involves more than just treatment. Our dedicated team supports patients throughout their care journey by assisting with benefits investigations, prior authorizations, scheduling, and ongoing clinical support. We strive to make the infusion and injection experience as comfortable, convenient, and stress-free as possible.

This Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to learn more about MG, support those living with the condition, and help raise awareness about the importance of early diagnosis, access to treatment, and continued research.
